Bill
Harrision of Sine Robotics showing off his sumo robot collection. Definitely
one of the high-points of this year's event!
Bill
demonstrating a pair of minisumos...
...to a rapt audience. Was a
good example of the many quality lectures we had this year.
Mr. Harrison was good enough
to have some hands-on demonstrations of the Mini Sumo (R/C) style.
Bill
Harrison always comes with a thorough contingent of robot Sumo wrestlers. He
always had a crowd around his table.
Jeff de Boer is a local Calgary artist of some renown.
He gave a lecture on viewing robotics from Art's standpoint. Was a nice
counterpoint to all the techie-talk going on. Well worth catching his
lectures if you can.
Wilf Rigter was back again,
giving lectures sponsored by Solarbotics
Ltd.
This time, Wilf brought along
"uCrawler 1.0" - a one motor walking robot.
Besides lectures, there was
an open workshop in fully-furnished workshop rooms at SAIT for anybody
wanting to work on a kit or project.
