Robo-rama 2004  Build day!

Saturday Oct 2, 2004

9:30-12:30, Room MD-213, SAIT Campus

This meeting is a real hands-on affair to get you to blow that dust off your soldering iron following a long summer!  Some Soldering irons and basic handtools will be on hand as well as some mini-sumo SAM-bot kits and kits from our sponsors ( to be announced )

(You must sign up as a member ( $5 ) to participate, and waiver forms must be signed by participants.)

  • We will also distribute material donated from MCK Communications which won't be needed by the group and have a look at those materials that will be retained by our society.
  • Craig Limber will discuss salvaging and robotizing miniature RC toys
  • Lego mindstorms will be there as well, for you lego-maniacs.
  • Representatives from companies will be on hand to assist in kit building!
  • Competition Rings will be available for spontaneous challenges.
  • Bring your tools and solder and avoid the disappointment of our limited supply of tools .
  • The Cafeteria downstairs will be open for lunches!
The Robot Society will be selling the SAM-bot mini-sumo kits left over from the last years SAMbot workshop for $30.00.  Please reserve a kit and bring cash to the build day.  All monies go to the society!
JCM Electronic Services will be offering 30% off all robot kits for this build session.

Visit http://www.jcminventures.com/cybug_robot_kits.htm to see the kits and email craig@jcminventures.com letting him know which kit you would like.  You can pay for them through the website, or by phone.  They will be brought to the build day!

HVW Technologies will be offering a special price for select robot parts or kits for this build session.

Visit http://www.hvwtech.com to see the kits and purchase the kits through that website...  they will be delivered to the build day!

Solarbotics is always a great sponsor of the games and society.  We will pass information on about their kits when we get it!

More information to come!

Keep building!
