Here's a portfolio of our Junkyard Wars style competition at the Invention Convention  showing on Jan 12, 2002.  

We tore down photocopy machines and printers, sorted the parts, and tried to design a robot worthy of our talents!

Here's a few images of the innards of the Tekno Scarab bug-bot...  A cool little parts supply with a four channel IR remote control, 3 DC motors, dozens of gears, a motor controller, and central controller board.  I picked this one up at Wal-mart for $15.00 Canadian ( $10.00 USD )

This is a fantastic candidate for a control system for a mini sumo-bot, complete with a couple free channels for offensive weapons!
